Harvest of Memories bio picture
  • WELCOME!

I am so happy to have you here if this is our first time visiting! For those that don't know me, I started my photography business, Harvest of Memories, in 2009 and never, ever imagined I would be where I am right now, which would be running my business, full-time from my home! I am not your average photographer. I am unique and creative photographer. I am a wife and mother of two precious girls and hit the ground running when I started my business. I have taken photographs for people all over Ohio and gained so many clients just by word of mouth. HOM is not a "pose and shoot" business. I produce inventive, original, timeless photographs to cherish important memories forever. I am currently serving Central Ohio including Columbus, Gahanna, New Albany, Granville, Westerville, and Newark, Ohio.

"Life is pretty simple to me.....pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around their neck that says 'Make me feel important.'" -Darlene Hall

Newark Ohio Weddings | Gerard and Cyndi

Newark Ohio Weddings

Congratulations to Gerard and Cyndi Layton!  They pulled off a pretty major secret by exchanging wedding vows on April 1st, 2017 with their immediate family.  No joking around.  When the open dates were discussed at the church they agreed April Fools Day had to be the date.  I’m honored to have been asked to photograph this special occasion as I have been the family photographer for many occasions.  Click here to view their gorgeous fall photos at their home.

Schiller Park Engagement Session | Jakob and Angela

Schiller Park Engagement Session

I recently met with Jakob and Angela for their wedding consultation and delighted they booked me the same day.  I fell in love with their personalities and the excitement with their engagement was contagious.  We met at Schiller Park in Columbus Ohio.   It rarely happens, but when you take pictures in a public park you take the risk of friendly people that want to strike up a conversation with you.  As a photographer, you just have to keep assuring your couple that they are doing a great job and periodically not taking a picture because of something I see in the background.  Schiller Park is a personal favorite for this community.  It’s a super pretty park if you haven’t had a chance to visit.  This particular day we met around 1pm and as you can see we had a fair amount of bright sun.  We came to the session prepared with reflectors that we rarely use as a reflector, but more of a sun block.  We spent a fair amount of time on the most popular bridge of the park, and conveniently the brightest spot.  Thanks to my most recent purchase of my B1 ProFoto Light, and my reflector they both saved the day.

Newark Ohio Country Senior Pictures | Mason

Newark Ohio Country Senior Pictures

What a great time with these Newark Ohio Country Senior Pictures with Mason from Heath High School.  We had summer like temperatures for his November picture session, which always makes for a great time that we didn’t have to worry about the weather.  I must say Mason is a very sweet young man.  When taking pictures with the fellas, I spend the first few clicks reading the excitement level from the guys to see if they’re bored or want to hurry things along.  When Mason said more than once, “Whatever my Mom wants” I knew it would be great.

Granville Ohio Family Pictures | Sneed Family

Granville Ohio Family Pictures

Checkout little William!  He was all smiles when we met up for family pictures at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.  His little suspenders, warm little flannel and corduroy pants.  I just couldn’t handle it all.  What a cute little guy.  It was just a little chilly so I worked pretty quickly to pose him with so many important family members that were in town.  This particular location at Denison University provided 3 great different backgrounds in a relatively small area, which was perfect because we wanted to get lots of pictures before William’s nose turned red and before his smile changed.  I always enjoy spending time at Denison, which is located 5 minutes from my studio.
