Harvest of Memories bio picture

I am so happy to have you here if this is our first time visiting! For those that don't know me, I started my photography business, Harvest of Memories, in 2009 and never, ever imagined I would be where I am right now, which would be running my business, full-time from my home! I am not your average photographer. I am unique and creative photographer. I am a wife and mother of two precious girls and hit the ground running when I started my business. I have taken photographs for people all over Ohio and gained so many clients just by word of mouth. HOM is not a "pose and shoot" business. I produce inventive, original, timeless photographs to cherish important memories forever. I am currently serving Central Ohio including Columbus, Gahanna, New Albany, Granville, Westerville, and Newark, Ohio.

"Life is pretty simple to me.....pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around their neck that says 'Make me feel important.'" -Darlene Hall

High School Senior Fall Pictures | Brooklynn

High School Senior Fall Pictures

This is the third session with Brooklynn.  Be sure to stay tuned as I will be blogging her Creekside session as well as her Volleyball session.  She approached me in the very beginning about taking pictures in every season that we couldn’t resist meeting up at Dawes for the Fall portion of her pictures.  I’m obsessed with this adorable outfit and the hat is a photographer’s dream.  So many things you can do with it as far as posing that I wanted to take my time and really think about the images I have seen in magazines.  Brooklynn does a great “smize”, which is code for smiling with her eyes technique.  To view Brooklynn’s images from Granville, click here.  We are currently watching the forecast for snow to wrap up her final season of pictures.  I can’t wait to see what kind of outfit she puts together for it.  Brooklynn’s joyful spirit always sends me home in the best mood.  If we had more people in the world like her, we would be moving in the right direction that’s for sure.

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center Wedding | Mitchell’s

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center Wedding

Steven and Chrissy had a gorgeous day at Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in October.  This location is always a favorite of mine, but when when its combined with lovely weather for guests to enjoy the ceremony makes for a great memory for everybody.  This particular wedding almost sent me to tears because it was being sent to Steve’s dad in the hospital via FaceTime.  Praise God for technology that he didn’t miss anything.  I had to hold it together when it came time for their card ceremony that they placed in a wine box  and kissed the envelopes before closing it up.  I wanted to cry!  I thought that gesture was so sweet.  I’m so happy it worked out that Steven and Chrissy came to the studio this past week.  Seeing and hearing reactions from my bride and groom never gets old.  When I first started taking pictures, I can remember mailing Cd’s to my customers and I missed out on so many chances to hear what they thought of their pictures.  I love surprising them with a photo they didn’t know about that either makes them cry or laugh hysterically.  I wake up thankful for my job and that I’m surrounded by so many nice people that become part of my family.  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell!!!

Dawes Fall Family Photos | Brunty and Brockman

Dawes Fall Family Photos

I love these Dawes Fall Family Photos of the Brunty and Brockton family.  As you can see by the adults, I acted like a fool for my little ones.  You know that viral video of the photographer that runs all over the place and rolling on the ground?  I honestly kind of felt like that a little bit towards the end of this session.  Running behind a tree and playing peek a boo to find the twins looking at me like a goof ball.  (Insert laughter.)  The secret weapon ended up being a bag of gummy bears, which assisted with keeping them in one place.

Dawes Fall Family Pictures | Cramer Family

Dawes Fall Family Pictures

I absolutely love seeing my childhood friends and Travis would be one of them.  It was great seeing him and meeting his family and cute little pup, Elliot!  It was absolutely gorgeous day for these Dawes Fall Family Pictures when we met up.  The leaves were the perfect color and just the right amount on the ground.  Just one week later this same location completely changed, which shouldn’t surprise me as it’s Ohio and everything changes so quickly around here.  This past Fall season, I spent so much time at Dawes that I love all of the “new” locations around the park.  I wish you could see or hear the crazy sounds I made to get Elliot to look at me.  As always, I make all of the humans laugh.  I can’t help but laugh at myself when I drive home when I think about how crazy I looked to everybody.  Thank you Cramer family for asking me to take your family photos.

Newark Ohio Newborn Pictures

I’m honored to receive the text message with an attached photo of this little guy from the hospital just like I did with his older brother Cash.  I have truly enjoyed watching this family grow together from behind the camera and documenting so many milestones.  Just a few short days later, I met up with the rest of the family for a group photo that filled my heart with joy.  To view those images, click here.  I love watching Michelle and Dusty be parents to some pretty amazing kiddos.  They will have their hands full as all 3 kiddos are beautiful.  Thank you so much Layton family for asking me to take your family photos.  I always enjoy your company and you always make me feel like part of the family.
